I've considered myself to be a big Star Trek fan as long as I can remember. In fact, the night I was born was the night The Wrath of Khan first premiered on television. My father, who is also a fan, went back and forth between watching the film and tending to my mother (also a fan)

I will state plainly that I am currently in a nearly three year relationship with a person whom I love dearly. Problem is, she doesn't like Trek--she's not even into scifi. A seemingly-incompatible companion I find myself with, but we do love each other.

At times, however, I fear that our interests clash, and so I'm here out of curiosity to see if I can make a meaningful connection for friendship with others who share my passion for Star Trek and scifi in general.

I thnk I'll leave my introduction like this for now, but I might change it up later on.

To create large scale infrastructures for the whole population, involving food production, potable water, energy, and information access. More of a "dream" than a "goal", really.....not sure if I could really achieve it, but I want to live in a world like that...or least leave it that way once it all goes back in the box.
